EU gas pipeline extension from Albania to Montenegro, Bosnia and Croatia, could fail because of lack of funding


Brussels, 14 July 2022, dtt-net.com – It has been several years now that EU and the four countries of the Balkan region have been talking – and also spending some money for partial feasibility studies – of the 511 km long planned project, the Ionian-Adriatic-Pipeline (IAP) - but so far none of the four have applied for real funding to the EU bank in Luxembourg (EIB) and the EBRD in London, to make the gas interconnection revived and turn it into a reality, despite recent talks held between governments of Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, dtt-net.com learns.
