Serbia and North Macedonia leaders to attend inauguration of Greece’s 2nd LNG terminal - supplied by USA


Athens/Skopje, 02 May 2022, dtt-net.com – Construction works of the LNG Terminal in Greek port Alexandropoulos will be inaugurated tomorrow to will supply the country and the region American gas, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia, respectively.

North Macedonia has invested in a nearby gas-fired power plant and a underground storage (UGS) on top of a gas-fired power plant project of 250 MWh with the same American natural gas in southern North Macedonia Bitola town. 

The Prime Minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovachevski will attend, but also the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, as Serbia has already started construction of a new pipeline inter-connector through Bulgaria to purchase American LNG from the Alexandropoulos Terminal, which is the second in Greece on top of the one in Revithoussa islet, west of Athens.

The President of European Council, Charles Michel, will also be there …
