Bus crash in Bulgaria kills 45 North Macedonia nationals


Skopje/Sofia, 23 November 2021, dtt-net.com – 45 of 52 passengers from North Macedonia died, of them 12 children, in a flaming bus crash in Bulgaria shortly after midnight. 

Bulgarian public broadcaster BNT reportedthat the accident happened at Struma highway, near the village Bosnek in western Bulgaria, some 45 km southwest of capital Sofia. 

The causes of the accident are yet to be determined, but according to the reports the bus was caught in fire after the crash. 

Only seven passengers managed to escape surviving the crash while others burnt to ash, according to the Bulgarian authorities.

The government of North Macedonia today declared a three-day of mourning over the tragic accident.
