Rifts erupt between Macedonia social-democrats and Albanian parties

Skopje,  dtt-net.com – Macedonian opposition social-democrat SDSM party and its new Albanian partners on Friday clashed over wider use of Albanian language in the troubled country at the moment when they are being refused by country's president mandate to form the new coalition government.


The leader of SDSM, Zoran Zaev today unilaterally presented to the reporters what he called ‘the programme for governing’ without consulting the Albanian Democratic Union (DUI) and Albanian Movement for Reforms (LR).


Zaev further told reporters that the platform agreed by all Albanian parties, is not the foundation of his program, and explained that he will not allow that Albanian language to be used in DENAR currency banknotes nor in uniforms of Macedonia’s police and army...
